Security Foreword
We are legally required to process your information in a secure and privacy-respecting manner. We abide by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection regulations in the UK. We are certified for digital security through the Cyber Essentials scheme and routinely complete security audits, data security training, and the NHS Data Protection Toolkit.
Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014: Regulation 19
The intention of this regulation is to ensure that providers only employ ‘fit and proper’ staff who can provide care and treatment appropriate to their role and to enable them to provide the regulated activity. To meet this regulation, providers must operate robust recruitment procedures, including undertaking any relevant checks. They must have a procedure for ongoing monitoring of staff to ensure they remain able to meet the requirements, and they must have appropriate arrangements in place to deal with staff who are no longer fit to carry out the duties required of them.
Letter of Agreement
I authorise Seven Steps Support Ltd to carry out all necessary enquiries to verify the information I have submitted on my application form. I also authorise and give my consent to Seven Steps Support Ltd to share and/or disclose to the end client (“the Client”) the information and/or results obtained as a result of these enquiries for the purposes of pre-employment vetting and to meet audit requirements.
I authorise Seven Steps Support Ltd to contact all the referees disclosed on my application form and give my consent to them obtaining references from them to verify the information I have provided. If the referee provided is not in a suitable position of authority to respond to any request, I understand an alternative referee may be contacted. I also consent to any references received being viewed and/or shared with Seven Steps Support Ltd for the purpose of pre-employment vetting.
I certify that to the best of my knowledge, the information I have provided to the company, including the information held on my CV and/or application form, is complete and accurate in every respect. I understand that a false statement or omission of facts therein may result in a disciplinary investigation undertaken by my employer, which could lead to disqualification from employment or result in my subsequent dismissal for cause if I am employed.
I hereby authorise Seven Steps Support Ltd or any agent acting on its behalf, as frequently as deemed necessary during the tenure of my assignment, to verify information presented on this form and, to the extent permitted by law and with regard to any local country-specific legislation, to procure credit/financial probity reports and to investigate global sanctions and watchlist reports for that purpose.
I understand that if I have resided outside of the UK, in another country, where legally permissible within a background screening context, Seven Steps Support Ltd will apply for both credit and criminal records checks on my behalf, and I agree to provide any assistance or documentation required to complete the check applications. I consent to the information contained in the checks being viewed by Seven Steps Support Ltd. I understand that Seven Steps Support Ltd will treat the results in accordance with the Company’s policy on the secure storage, handling, use, retention, and disposal of criminal records checks.
I am aware that it may be necessary for the information given in this application to be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), which may have less comprehensive data protection legislation than the UK.
Fraud Prevention: Where Applicable
We will check your details with/against fraud prevention databases. Should our investigations identify fraud or the commission of any other criminal offence by you [on your part] when applying for or during the course of your [employment duties] with us, we will record the details of this on the relevant fraud prevention databases. This information may be accessed from the UK and other countries and used by law enforcement agencies and by us and other organisations to prevent fraud.
